HONEY HIRE BOUTIQUE

Honey Hire Boutique began with a simple idea and one dress. In 2019, our founder, Shannae, saw an opportunity while scrolling through a Facebook group. A dress everyone wanted to hire was priced out of reach for many young women, so she took a chance, purchased it, and rented it out for $30. From there, she reinvested every dollar into growing our collection, starting from a bedroom in Shannae’s dad’s apartment.

For four years, Honey Hire operated from Shannae’s home, growing from a small bedroom setup to a thriving business with over 400 pieces, ranging from sizes 4-16. We’ve come a long way since then, and in September 2024, we proudly opened our first boutique at 172 Gilles Street, Adelaide. This milestone was particularly special because our journey began just down the road on Gilbert Street. Hearing customers mention that they’ve supported us since the early days has been incredibly heartwarming. 

Our boutique isn’t just about dresses, it’s an experience. From the gorgeous mirrors in front of the change rooms to the sweet treats at the desk, we aim to make every visit memorable. We’re supported by two amazing team members, Amalia and Sigourney, who bring fresh energy to our growing team.

At Honey Hire, our favourite part of what we do is seeing how our clients style their outfits and bring their unique creativity to life. Each dress tells a story, and it’s a privilege to be part of so many special moments. 

Looking ahead, we have big dreams. We hope to open a second store interstate, expanding our reach while continuing to provide the same personalised service and gorgeous collection.

We’re driven by inspiration every day. Shannae’s three-year-old son, Noah, is at the heart of everything we do, representing the potential and future we strive to build. Outside of work, we enjoy spending time with loved ones, exploring new cafes, and creating a balance between adventure and relaxation.
